Mixed – Method Research to Improve Proton Mail’s Activation Journey
The project’s goal was to improve the activation journey of Proton Mail, identify data metrics for user activation and inform product strategy to retain new users.
Task
Despite "Activation" being the first step of the user journey that reaches 100% of the users, less than desired % of the total new users continued with the product after two weeks. The research goal was to understand the perceived benefits, pain-points and triggers of switching to Proton Mail.
